Marcos Giralt Torrente is the author of five books: Entiéndame, París,Nada sucede solo, Los seres felices and Seis cuentos. In 1999 he was awarded the Herralde Novel Prize for París and the Dr. Furest i Roca Short Stories Prize for Nada sucede solo. His work is compiled in several anthologies and has appeared in magazines like Revista de Occidente, Lateral, Universidad de México, Ateneo de Venezuela, EPS… Since 1987 he has written columns for ABC, Diario16, El Mundo, Tiempo, Sur Express, Paisajes, Letras Libres, El Magazine, Barbaria, Página 12, as well as working as literary critic of translated fiction, TV critic, travel writer and contributing editor for El País.
